Back to the Grind

Well, it’s been a week since starting the academic year, and already the workload is in full force. The difference is, this time round I’m set on being more relaxed about everything, which means consequently I’m finding my concurrent projects way more manageable than ever before (it’s all in the mind, right?;) So while I’m busy busy busy, I’m also feeling pretty enthusiastic and sane about it all. Fingers crossed as I move past the first week though!

Assignments aside, it’s been super nice seeing old faces again, and meeting some new ones too! Despite the introverted, self-conscious, shy, awkward (you get the idea) person I am, there’s only so long I can stay shut up in my own little world before feeling like a sad hermit. In fact, for those of you who don’t know (meaning most everyone), I can very easily burst into vivacious fits of chatter if given the opportunity (ask my sister). Behind all the insecurities, I’m secretly a giggly, mischievous, talkative sort of person — but I think some people would prefer the uncomfortable me, hahaha 🙂

All in all, my goals for my second year of uni are: 1.) to be calmer and more positive about my work; 2.) to be myself; 3.) to enjoy this super precious period in my life! There’s no telling how many more days we’ve got on our hands, and as cliched as it sounds, it’s true that the best thing to do is to make the most of every moment: live, laugh, work hard, and most importantly, love. Ah, I sound like a hopeless romantic. I probably am.

Photowise, here are some (iPhone) shots I managed to squeeze in to my eventful first week. Just a few things that caught my eye:)
